Brother, with all due respect, that is what people said in Rwanda, and if you go to a place like Cameroon where both French and English are spoken, the difference in development between the Francophone Duala and the Anglophone North is night and day.
Here is an interesting article on what the most priveleged French want for their own children - http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/france/11414245/France-demands-that-its-future-leaders-must-speak-English.html
Even in Morocco, the most successful Parents would rather have their children attend the American School than Descartes or Lyautey. This ultimately means that their kids will be more likely to speak English than French.
Even now, job seekers in Morocco who do not speak English are not competitive.
The bylaws of the forum should be changed to reflect this reality, and at the very least allow people who want to take their careers to the next level, the opportunity to practice reading and writing English.
I have seen first hand that when people from countries all over the world meet, the language that wins is English, even in Morocco - If you have a meeting with 4 people who speak primarily Arabic 5 who speak primarily French and 1 who speaks only English, what language will be the language used at the meeting? English. Even the Chinese opt to use English in their business transactions - This forum would find a much wider audience and open the door to a better way of doing things if it were simply to add English to the official languages.
I would like to suggest a survey that asks members if they are ok with adding English as a language that people can use regularly on the forum? Who agrees?
